sweet furniture

The wonderful news about moving into a house with very limited furniture is you get to start all over. Since most of our pieces are taken from alley ways or are from ikea, I'm hoping craigslist can lead me to some great pieces that I can refresh like the ones below.

I love the big prints in these upholstered blocks.

This could be great in the living room. I love the yellow.

I love this table. I'd want to paint it.

The Daily News has a great photo gallery of this Mod house in Pasedena. I was happily surprised that it's by the old newspaper group (LANG) that I worked at in Long Beach. I like the patio edge + rocks.

going mod

Hoping our Rambler of a house goes through, I'm welcoming all that comes with a house from 1951 including mid-century modern design including but not limited to:

a new appreciation of white walls and furniture on pedestals ,
(all the luck in the world)

liking the idea of white furniture with crazy bursts of color,
(pure green blog)

gaining slight courage to maybe paint just one mural,
(Jessica Helgerson Interior Design)

actually considering wallpaper even though my husband was completely grossed out,
(secondhand rose)

and of course searching on craigslist. Should I buy this $50 coffee table?

The trail of blogging started here.

Inspections went well

This is similar to the house. Other homes on this website included an "activities room" but no living room. I wonder what activities you'd do there.

Oh this house

It felt like Christmas Eve last night. I did every trick in the book to not think about this house. Then I finally woke up and was amazed I fell asleep at all until I realized it was just after 3 and I had so much more time to go.

At 5:30 we're meeting to put in our offer.
